Bennett Fierman, Ph.D
President

Prior to joining Lauren Innovations, Dr. Fierman was a healthcare provider and administrator for more than 25 years in private, public and non-profit settings. He has served in consulting and leadership roles for a variety of public and higher education environments, healthcare institutions and systems, public and private corporations and governmental agencies. Throughout his career, he has served as a senior executive with responsibility for strategic planning, business development, facility development, operations, marketing, advertising and public relations. He has developed and implemented system-wide service excellence programs and has created Leadership Institutes for Management Development in a variety of organizations. Dr. Fierman has designed, created and managed several healthcare and surgical facilities, as well as a variety of collaborative multidisciplinary projects often involving businesses, education, physicians and healthcare organizations.

James A. Hummel
Chief Operating Officer

Before becoming Lauren Innovations’ chief operating officer, Hummel served as vice president of human resources & executive committee member for Lauren Innovations’ parent company, Lauren International, for 17 years. His oversight and audit experience in OSHA, EPA, ISO14001, QS9000, and TS16949, coupled with his expertise in safety/human resource practices and policies has positioned him to ease into his current role managing operations and product development. Hummel has extensive knowledge and experience in LEAN implementation, strategic planning as well as operational responsibilities. Hummel is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and served two terms on the board of the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and chaired their Medical Services & Safety Committee.


Russell C. Collett

Director of Strategic Business Development

As a retired U.S. Secret Service high-ranking official, Collett brings over 25 years of experience planning successful security for U.S. presidents, world leaders, and our nation’s critical infrastructure and key assets. As a former chief operating officer of an international security firm, Collett also brings experience in the development of new security programs, human resources and training, enterprise risk, regulatory compliance, and the expansion of business opportunities. He is responsible for cultivating new business for the NaviGate product in multiple verticals including healthcare, higher education, government (GSA), sports and public venues, financial, and manufacturing segments. Collett also directed the Service’s financial, cyber and electronic crime investigations in Chicago, one of the agency’s largest field districts. He is a member of ASIS International, the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), and maintains a proactive and strategic alliance with several local, regional, and national organizations dedicated to addressing homeland security, emergency management, business continuity, and disaster recovery.


Chris Porter
Technical Product Manager

As the Technical Product Manager for Lauren Innovations, Chris Porter is able to combine his extensive background in emergency preparedness, training and computer programming. He is responsible for overseeing product specifications, development, implementation and training for the NaviGate product. His work at the start-up company, InnerLink led him to his current role at Lauren Innovations. At InnerLink, Porter was responsible for their web-based school fitness and nutrition program that grew from eight pilot districts to over 300 in two years. He developed the product from a simple nutrition platform to a full-scale school health and fitness record using both web-based and handheld technology.
